Information sessions
The US Economic Development Administration (EDA), the Southeastern Economic Development Commission (SEDC), and the Lumber River Council of Governments (LR COG) invite you to attend several important information sessions that will be occurring in the region.
Disaster Recovery and Resiliency Funders Forum
Representatives from federal (EDA, HUD, USDA) and state agencies (Golden LEAF, NC Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR), NC Department of Environmental Quality, NC Department of Commerce) will be present to discuss potential funding solutions for addressing disaster recovery and resiliency efforts. Following the session, speakers will be available to discuss community priorities with session participants and outline ways to maximize funding options - bring your project ideas and be ready to discuss how they can be supported with the resource providers!
Note: The session originally scheduled for July 22 in Wilmington has been canceled. The Aug. 6 session still has available seating - RSVP information below.

Target Audience: Open to all who want to learn more about recovery, resiliency and funding, including Mayors, Council Members, Managers, Economic Developers, Planners, Utility Directors, Community College representatives, Emergency Managers, and Water and Sewer Authority representatives.

Regionalization roundtable
Representatives from the NC Division of Water Infrastructure will share information on financial and management approaches for structuring regional solutions, including information on the new Viable Utility Grant program. Additionally, representatives from local governments who have experienced regionalization will share their insights on benefits and challenges. Lunch will be provided following the session, so registration is required.
